Foreign English Teachers in Beijing

According to the development needs of the College, the School of Foreign Languages is now open to recruit two foreign teachers of English. The relevant matters are announced as follows:

I. Introduction

The School of Foreign Languages of Beijing Forestry University consists of the Department of English, the Department of Japanese, the Department of Business English, the Centre for the Training of Masters in Translation, the Foreign Language Teaching Centre (including the First Teaching and Research Department of University English, the Second Teaching and Research Department of University English, the Teaching and Research Department of Postgraduate English, the Russian Language Teaching Group), the Institute of Language and Applied Linguistics, the Research Centre for Foreign Literature and Ecological Culture, the Language Service Centre, the Foreign Language Training and Examination Centre and other teaching, research and The University has a number of teaching, research and social service institutions. In 2010, the English major was listed as one of the national specialties, and in 2011, English was listed as one of the Ministry of Education’s In 2020, English majors will be included in the construction of national first-class undergraduate majors, Business English majors will be included in the construction of national first-class undergraduate majors in 2021, and Japanese majors will be included in the construction of Beijing first-class undergraduate majors.

II. Position Setting

The foreign teacher position is a full-time teaching position in the School of Foreign Languages of Beijing Forestry University. The proposed recruitment is for two foreign teachers of English. The teaching time will be no less than 2 semesters, 16 weeks per semester, approximately 4-6 hours per week. The teaching targets are undergraduate students majoring in English and Business English. The course to be taught is spoken English.

III. Requirements for application

1. abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China and love the cause of education;

2. have good teacher ethics, abide by academic ethics, have no illegal or criminal records, and have no records of punishment for violating teacher ethics and academic ethics;

3. be native English speakers and under 60 years of age.

4. have at least two years of full-time work experience in teaching English as a foreign language. The work experience requirement may be relaxed for those who have obtained a bachelor’s degree or higher in education, language or teacher training, or who have obtained a teaching qualification in their country or an international language teaching certificate that meets the requirements;

5. have obtained a TEFL certificate or other equivalent qualification (e.g. 120 hours of TESOL/CELTA certificate);

6. Meet all the requirements for obtaining a work visa to China.

IV. Salary and benefits

• 1. Salary: RMB 10,000 yuan/month before tax;
• 2. Airfare allowance: one round-trip air ticket on international airlines;
• 3. Purchase of medical insurance;
• 4. free on-campus flat (fully furnished and equipped with electrical appliances) provided;
• 5. Salary can be further agreed according to the applicant’s qualifications, work experience or workload.
