V. Position Description

  • Take charge of the overall administrative work of the school (unit). Job Description:

SLIBNU seeks applications for High-Level Foreign Experts from the global. This position will also serve as the Vice Dean for International Affairs of SLIBNU. It is responsible for the effective global engagement and development, aligned with SLIBNU’s global smart education strategies as well as the BNU’s Global Development Strategy Plan (2020-2025). This position will work with the research teams of SLIBNU to ensure that the SLIBNU’s international engagement through strategic partnerships in research, consultancy, teaching, and knowledge transfer is both consonant with the SLIBNU’s global strategies and contributes to the achievement of its objectives. This position will also support the tasks from CIT at BNU and Educational Informatization Strategy Research Base (Beijing) of MOE,P.R.C.. The main tasks are focusing on the sharing of high-quality educational resources and the urgent need for intelligent educational resources to set up a research platform for Cyberlearning and Intelligent Technology. It will support Interactive System for Distance Education, Knowledge Modelling and Analysis, Learner Modelling and Learning Analytics, Design and Assessment of Learning Environment, Systematic Education Governance as well as other technological R&D and engineering.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To lead, in liaison with the co-Dean, the development and implementation of the SLIBNU’s global engagement plan ensuring its alignment with SLIBNU’s global strategies and BNU’s Global Development Strategy Plan (2020-2025) and that it advances the SLIBNU’s broader global strategic aims;
  • To cultivate young international talents, innovative international teams, and construction of international course series for all kinds of needed research areas from BNU;

Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. degree in fields of social, natural, or engineering sciences, such as Education, Educational Technology, Computer Science, etc;
  • Significant experience with at least 5 years’ experience at overseas high-level universities, or research institutes, the United Nations System or other multilateral organizations and/or in the field of international relations, multilateral settings/cooperation, and development;
  • Extensive experience in global engagement, talent development, and strategic planning in international projects and cooperation;
  • Deep understanding of best international cooperation with organizations, particularly in the areas of educational technology, ICT in education, smart education/smart learning, AIED, etc;
  • Strong English Communication is necessary. Basic Mandarin communication is preferred.

 

Remuneration:

  • The remuneration will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s academic qualification, professional experience, and current position;
  • The range of annual salaries will be discussed between 200,000 USD and 300,000 USD for a three-year contract of employment;

1. Director (Vice Director) of Proteomics Center

Responsibilities

• Responsible for technical services and daily administrative working of Mass Spectrometry Platform.

• Responsible for operation, maintenance and development of mass spectrometer.

• Responsible for training work including basic knowledge and principle of mass spectrometry, sample preparation, data analysis, etc.

• Familiarity with use, maintenance and development of LTQ Orbitrap Velos, Q Exactive and other large-scale bio-mass spectrometer, providing high-quality MS analysis Services to other laboratories at HCLS.

Services here are including molecular weight determination of proteins and peptides, further analysis and identification, a complex mix of protein samples after protein identification, protein translational modifications and comparative quantitative research proteome. As well as the positive development and improvement of advanced biological mass spectrometry technology, and effective use of these technologies to basic biological research to help solve various biological problems.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree or above in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Protein Chemistry or related areas.

• Postdoctoral training or experience working in mass spectrum management is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with sample preparation and analysis of various mass spectrometry methods, proficiency in one of the following technical categories: 1) proteomics: including proteomics methods of intragel enzymolysis, intrasolution enzymolysis, quantitative proteomics (iTRAQ, SILAC, label free, etc.), modified proteomics, etc. 2) small molecules: including chromatographic separation and purification, LC-MS identification of small molecules, quantitative analysis of MRM small molecules. 3) macromolecules: understanding of the mass spectrometry of polymer and intact protein, experience in using the technology of ion mobility and H / D exchange.

 

2. Director (Vice Director) of Antibody Center

Responsibilities

• Responsible for animal immunity, hybridoma cell fusion, antibody screening by phage antibody library, including panning, primary screening and identification of monoclonal antibody, etc.

• Functional analysis of candidate antibody molecules by ELISA and FACS.

• Responsible for data reorganization and writing experiment report.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree or above in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology or related areas.

• More than 2 years’ working experience in construction and screening of phage antibody library, antibody engineering transformation, humanization, affinity maturation and other related laboratory work.

• Working experience in preparation and detection of hybridoma and monoclonal antibody.

• Familiarity with antibody screening knowledge and skills, including ELISAFACS, etc.

• Experience in high-throughput screening is highly preferred.

• Strong communication skill and team cooperation.

 

3. Director (Vice Director) of Imaging Analysis Center

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for cell biology and develop equipment and technology according to the scientific research needs of HCLS.

• Responsible for daily administrative working of Imaging Analysis Center.

• Responsible for recruitment and training the technicians of Imaging Analysis Center.

• Responsible for regular technical training for researchers and students.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree or above in Cell Biology, Optical physics, Microscopy or related areas.

• Familiarity with cell biology technology such as confocal microscope and transmission electron microscope as well as ability to develop equipment and technology.

• More than 5 years’ management experience in confocal microscope, transmission electron microscope and other equipment.

• Strong communication skill and team cooperation.

Yantai University Key Laboratory of Molecular Pharmacology and Drug Evaluation of the Ministry of Education seeks a distinguished and internationally-renown scientist and visionary leader to serve as the next Director.

Locatedin one of the most vibrant and historic coastal city of China, Yantai, Yantai University (YTU) was established in 1984 with the support of Peking University and Tsinghua University and is a comprehensive university in Shandong province. In 2019, YTU became a university mutually developed by the Department of Education of Shandong Province and Yantai Municipal government. In 2012, the university was granted a doctoral program on New Drug Release System for Major Novel Drugs to serve the special needs of the country, and in 2013, YTU began to admit PhD students. In 2011, the plan of developing the Laboratory of Molecular Pharmacology and Drug Evaluation into a joint-venture key laboratory between the China Ministry of Education and Shandong Province government was approved.In 2015,the laboratory passed the official inspection and was managed as a Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education. Centering on pharmacology and aiming at developing new drugs for the prevention and treatment of major diseases facing significant public health challenges such as mental and neurological diseases, malignant tumors, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and inflammatory diseases, the laboratory implements internationally-recognized standards and clinical applications and focuses on pharmacological research and evaluation of innovative drugs as well as the elucidation of molecular mechanisms of traditional Chinese medicine and naturally-derived drugs. The goal of these efforts is to provide technical and scientific support for new drug development and drug clinical study endeavors. Over the years, the laboratory has formed four main research directions, i.e. molecular pharmacology and drug evaluation in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, mental and nervous system diseases, anti-tumor drugs as well as anti-inflammatory drugs.

Job Responsibilities

1. Organize the formulation and implementation of the Laboratory development plans. Be fully responsible for the daily operation and management of the Laboratory.

2. Cultivate and introduce research direction leaders and young academic backbones, optimize the team structure, and enhance the Laboratory’s capability of independent innovation.

3.Promote the cooperation with the government, research institutes, colleges, industries and enterprises, organize the planning and implementation of major research projects, and promote the integration of science and education.

4. Strengthen the international cooperation and exchange, promote international cooperation levels, and expand the academic influence of the Laboratory at home and abroad.

Requirements

1. Employment term

Living and Working Conditions

Annual salary system is implemented. The university provides no less than RMB 2 million per year (before tax, negotiable), RMB 3 million of housing subsidies and settling-in allowance, no less than RMB 20 million of funds for scientific research start-up, platform construction and team building and no less than 500 square meters of laboratory and office for team personnel in accordance with the actual needs of the work. 2011年分子药理与药物评价实验室获省部共建教育部重点实验室立项建设,2015年通过验收,成为教育部重点实验室。实验室以药学学科为依托,以危害人类健康的精神神经疾病、恶性肿瘤、心脑血管疾病和炎症性疾病等重大疾病的防治药物研究为目标,以国际标准和临床应用为导向,开展创新药物的药理学研究和评价,同时对经典中药和天然药物进行深入的分子机制阐释,为新药研发和药物临床应用提供支持。经过多年的建设与发展,实验室已形成了心脑血管疾病的分子药理学与药物评价研究、精神神经系统疾病的分子药理学与药物评价研究、新型抗炎药物的发现及其分子药理学研究、抗肿瘤药物的分子药理学研究与药物评价等四个相对稳定的研究方向。

二、岗位职责

1.组织制定和实施实验室发展规划,全面负责实验室日常运行与管理。

2.培养和引进研究方向带头人和青年学术骨干,优化队伍结构,提升实验室自主创新能力。

3.推进实验室与政府、科研院所、高校、行业企业合作,组织策划和实施重大课题研究,推进科教融合。

4.加强实验室对外合作交流,提升国际合作层次和水平,增强实验室国内外的学术影响力。

Supported by philanthropists and the Chinese government, Westlake University aims to become a world-class, international university over the next ten years. The recently established Westlake Language Center provides language and communication support to students, faculty, and staff.  It will develop writing, presentation, and other communication skills through workshops, tutoring, consultations, criticism, and other programming. The Center will also provide copywriting, editing, and proofreading services to ensure Westlake documents, websites, and publications are of the highest quality.

Westlake University now seeks a full-time, experienced director with superb English language skills to lead the Westlake Language Center.

 

Position:Deputy Director

Job Responsibilities:

-Lead the Westlake Language Center; supervise Center staff; work with university leaders, administrative managers, staff, faculty, and students in carrying out Center functions and responsibilities.

-Develop workshops on academic writing and publishing, creating and delivering effective presentations, effective use of communication software, and related topics.

-Generation and quality control of English language university documents.

-Tutoring/consulting on English communication for university faculty and staff.

-Organize events promoting effective communication, including language competitions (English and Chinese), guest speakers, cross-cultural symposia, and summer programs; coordinate Chinese language instruction for international faculty and staff.

-Other tasks as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

-Five or more years’ experience as an English language communication professional; three or more years management experience, preferably supervising communication, editing, copywriting, or translation professionals.

-Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.

-Ph.D. in English, Communication, Journalism, Education, Education Administration, or a closely related field.

-Native or near-native level English fluency; high-level ability in Mandarin Chinese.

-Possess or acquire a strong familiarity with Westlake University and the university’s mission and goals.

-Ability to plan and work independently with minimal supervision.

-Detail-oriented, with strong communication, management, and interpersonal skills, a proactive and responsible attitude; ability to work effectively within a team and across departmental boundaries; ability to balance and prioritize concurrent tasks.

In the spring of 1928, a generation of educators, Mr. Cai Yuanpei and Lin Fengmian and other pioneers, jointly established the National Academy of Art, the predecessor of the China Academy of Art, opening a great chapter in modern Chinese higher art education.

As a renowned university for higher education in art over 100 years, China Academy of Art is one of the top art schools in the world. It was selected as one of the first “Double First-class” universities by Chinese government in 2017. In the fourth round of China Discipline Ranking, Fine Arts and Design majors were awarded A+, while Art Theory, Drama and Film Studies were awarded A- and B+.

Since the first batch of national top-major evaluations, nearly 80% of the majors in CAA have been selected into the construction sites of national first-class majors, ranking first in the art colleges and universities in the country.

  3. Withthe title of deputy editor or above

The Remuneration package consists of the base salary and incentive salary.

Remuneration Policies

According to the Provisions of China Academy of Art on Introducing Talents and Intelligence (China Academy of Art [2019] No. 1), the university provides different offers from talent subsidies to special housing. Talent subsidies and special housing are two options which cannot be offered at the same time. The remuneration of talents at all levels is shown in the following table:

2. Those who are identified as high-level talents introduced by the university will receive relevant benefits after working in the university. If you apply for national or provincial talent plans (projects) after entering the university, higher subsidies will be applied if the subsidies from the national or provincial talent plans (projects) are higher than this subsidy.

As a constituent college in China Academy of Art, the School of Intermedia Art (SIMA) was founded in 2010. SIMA is the standard bearer of the earliest media art experiment tradition in China. At SIMA, we believe in the need to deeply penetrate the frontiers of the everyday in order to excavate new media and new art forms that are from the people and of the people. SIMA attempts to go beyond the given media art education format and create a new structure that encompasses “media experimentation, artistic creativity, social thought and curatorial practice.” SIMA is an institution dedicated to the production of visions, as well as a nexus that spans different disciplines and fields, a social organ in which media, art and thought are produced and reproduced in a continuous circulation. The Faculty and Staff at SIMA share the common goal of building a school without any School, a school without walls.

Founded in Hangzhou, China in 1928, China Academy of Art is the first ever comprehensive higher education institution dedicated to art education in China. Now the largest fine arts university of the world, CAA operates on three campuses at Nanshan, Xiangshan and Liangzhu.

CAA’s School of Intermedia Art (SIMA) is home to 27 Doctoral students, 112 Master’s students and 223 undergraduates. There are 23 full-time tenured faculty members and 14 visiting professors. Media Scenography Department: Geared toward exhibition culture and social performance platforms, we try to create SIMA’s “ultra-art” avantgarde, a public intermedia scenography platform, with experiential spaces and narrative environments.

Free Art Studio: Mediated by the limitations of individuals in art practice and traversing the boundaries of art and media with free sensations, we are focused on SIMA’s “heterogenous art” site.

Credited with organizing and curating many pioneering research/creative projects such as International Intermedia Art Festival, Future Media / Art Manifesto, Intermedia Megastructure, Sonart China, Annual Conferences of Network Society and AME Film Project, SIMA stands at the forefront of contemporary Chinese interdisciplinary/intermedia art education.

Qualifications

The candidate should be an outstanding artist or curator or a leading specialist in the field of philosophy of technology or media studies. The candidate must be dedicated to art education, have outstanding achievements in art or academic research, have a forward-looking artistic horizon, global impact, rich academic resources and excellent leadership skills.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate:

  1. is a first-class internationally renowned researcher in business and economics, with considerable exposure to digital economy, FinTech & technology management;
  2. has had senior-level administrative experience, gained in large complex research and teaching institution;
  3. is a recognized leader with global credibility;
  4. is able to implement the strategic vision to strengthen ZIBS and lead it toward its core mission to become a leading global business education ecosystem;
  5. is fluent in Chinese and superiorly confident in multi-cultural contexts;
  6. has profound understanding of global trends, national priorities and Yangtze River Delta regional development strategies.
