About Lanzhou University

Founded in 1909, Lanzhou University is a national key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of education. It is a key construction University of the national “985 Project” and “211 Project” and a national “double first-class” Construction University (Class A). It has an important strategic position in the national higher education pattern. It is an important place for high-level personnel training and high-level scientific research in the country, especially in the western region.

The history of the school of economics of Lanzhou university can be traced back to the preparatory course of political economy established in 1913. In 1939, it set up the specialized course of bank accounting. In 1940, it set up the specialized course of bank accounting. In 1941, it added the Department of political economics and the Department of bank accounting. In 1946, it was officially named the Department of economics. In 1998, the school of economics and management was established with the Department of economics as the main department and several departments in the University. The school of economics was established in March 2004.

At present, the college has four undergraduate majors of economics, Economics (basic theory class), finance, international economy and trade, and a provincial “national basic discipline talent training and scientific research base of economics”; it has a construction point of economics characteristic specialty in Colleges and universities, seven master’s degree authorization points of secondary disciplines; theoretical economics and applied economics have master’s degree award of primary disciplines Applied economics has the right to confer a first-class discipline doctorate; there is a mobile post doctoral research station of Applied Economics; regional economics is a key discipline in Gansu Province and a national key discipline, and applied economics is a provincial key discipline.

At present, there are 57 full-time teachers, including 18 professors, 14 associate professors, 25 lecturers and 1 young researcher; there are six grass-roots professional research institutes, including Economic Research Institute, social and Economic Development Research Institute, northwest Population Research Institute, northwest Comprehensive Development Research Institute, Financial Research Institute and quantitative economy research institute; there are small and medium-sized enterprise research center, community and Biodiversity Protection Research Institute Three non entity research institutions, namely, research center for economic development and China Regional Competitiveness Research Center; two provincial major and key research bases, namely, research center for Silk Road Economic Belt Construction of Lanzhou University and Research Center for regional economic development and regional policy of western region; and County Economic Development Research Institute (Rural Revitalization Strategy Research Institute), Regional Finance Research Institute and Green Finance Research Institute Three new think tanks in Colleges and universities. Among them, the Silk Road Economic Belt Construction Research Center is a major research base of philosophy and Social Sciences in Gansu Province, which was selected into the ctti list in January 2017.

In order to strengthen the talent team and first-class discipline construction, attract a group of young talents with innovative thinking and development potential, and reserve high-level talents, this talent recruitment notice is hereby issued. The details are as follows:

1、 Recruitment discipline

(1) Theoretical Economics: political economics, western economics, population resources and environmental economics, history of economic thought, economic history, etc;

(2) Applied Economics: quantitative economics, economic statistics, digital economy, Finance (including financial engineering, insurance, investment), international trade (including international economy and trade, trade economy), Finance (including taxation), regional economics, industrial economics, etc.

2、 Recruitment conditions and salary

(1) Cuiying scholars

“Cuiying scholar” is a major talent support program of Lanzhou University, which sets up first level post, second level post, third level post and fourth level post. The first-class post of “Cuiying scholar” is academician, first-class professor and equivalent level talents; the second-class post is “Yangtze River Scholar”, “outstanding youth” or leading talents with the same level; the third-class post is “four youth” talents, or talents at home and abroad who have applied for the “four youth” project and have considerable competitiveness relying on our university; the fourth-class post is a landmark research achievement that has achieved important academic influence and has strong impact Outstanding young talents with the potential of “four youth”.

After being selected as “Cuiying scholar”, the university will work full-time as a professor or researcher and provide key support. It will provide competitive salary, housing subsidies, settling down expenses and research start-up funds. It can apply for renting campus revolving apartments, open a green channel for medical care, coordinate and solve spouse’s work, and arrange children’s enrollment and admission.

(2) Professor (researcher)

1. Basic conditions of recruitment. Those who have obtained the title of associate professor / Associate Researcher (or above) in domestic universities or scientific research institutes, or those who have held the title of assistant professor (or above) in foreign universities, or those who have reached the level of professor in our university, are doctoral graduates from well-known universities at home and abroad. They are well-known and influential in professional fields, have obtained high-level academic achievements in their own disciplines, and have presided over national fund projects or above.

2. Salary. According to the national regulations, we can provide salary, insurance, welfare and school performance salary; 400000-1 million yuan of scientific research start-up funds; 500000-90000 yuan of housing subsidies and settling down expenses; we can apply for renting campus apartments; we can arrange children’s enrollment and admission.

(3) Associate professor (associate researcher)

1. Basic conditions of recruitment. Those who have obtained the title of lecturer / Associate Researcher (or above) in domestic universities or scientific research institutes, or those who have held the title of assistant professor (or above) in foreign universities, or doctoral graduates with outstanding achievements, have the ability to undertake teaching and scientific research independently, have obtained higher level academic achievements in their own disciplines, and have presided over projects at provincial or ministerial level or above.

2. Salary. According to the national regulations, we can provide salary, insurance, welfare and school performance salary; 300000 yuan of scientific research start-up funds; 400000 yuan of housing subsidies and settling down expenses; we can apply for renting campus apartments; we can arrange children’s enrollment and admission.

(4) Young researcher

1. Basic conditions of recruitment. In principle, no more than 35 years old; doctoral degree or post doctoral research work in well-known universities or scientific research institutions at home and abroad; post doctoral research work or continuous one year or more overseas study or cooperative research experience is preferred; be able to grasp the development frontier of the discipline and have achieved certain academic achievements, with the potential of academic leaders.

2. Salary. Provide 400000 yuan of research start-up funds; provide 340000 yuan of pre tax annual salary (including 40000 yuan of rental subsidies); apply for renting campus apartments; arrange children to enter school and kindergarten. Those who have passed the five-year assessment can be employed as level 4 professors and doctoral tutors according to the procedures; those who have met the requirements of level 3 professors can be employed as level 3 professors and doctoral tutors according to the procedures. According to the enterprise establishment management, and provides the housing subsidy to settle down the expense.

(5) Foreign teachers

1. Basic conditions of recruitment. He has obtained a doctor’s degree in well-known universities at home and abroad, has outstanding innovation ability and good spirit of scientific research cooperation, and meets the requirements of working visa and foreign expert certificate in China.

(6) Cuiying postdoctoral

1. Basic conditions of recruitment. It meets the academic admission standard of “Cuiying postdoctoral” in school of economics of Lanzhou University; applicants from doctoral schools or overseas universities whose disciplines of doctoral degree are among the top 200 in the world can give priority to apply for “Cuiying postdoctoral”.

2. Salary. It can provide salary of 280000-380000 yuan per year before tax, apply for renting campus apartment, provide medical insurance and physical examination services, and arrange children’s enrollment and admission.
