个人简介:曾任德克萨斯大学、德州农工大学博士,天津科技大学教授,在国际上率先系列化系统性解析了纤毛信号蛋白依赖鞭毛内运送体/巴德-毕得氏复合物(IFT/BBS)体系维持其纤毛稳态的全景分子机制,为小G蛋白调控信号分子纤毛稳态领域全球最前沿的科学家,近五年以唯一通讯作者身份发表SCI论文50余篇。

Personal Profile:He has served as a postdoctoral fellow and professor at the University of Texas, Texas A&M University, and Tianjin University of Science and Technology. He is the first to systematically analyze the panoramic molecular mechanism by which ciliary signaling proteins rely on flagellar internal transporters/Bard Bidder’s complex systems to maintain their ciliary homeostasis in an international series. He is the world’s most cutting-edge scientist in the field of small G protein regulation signal molecule ciliary homeostasis, and has published more than 50 SCI papers as the only corresponding author in the past five years.

The Fourth Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine (ZJU4H) is a provincial, comprehensive tertiary class-A hospital integrating medicine, education and research, and is directly affiliated with Zhejiang University. It has a planned 4,300 beds and and has won the A+ grade in the performance assessment of tertiary public hospitals for four consecutive years, ranking steadily in the top 5% of the country and the first in west Central Zhejiang.

The International School of Medicine, Zhejiang University (ISM) is a secondary college run and managed by Zhejiang University, which is set to become an institute of higher medical education serving the national Belt and Road initiative. Huang Hefeng, an academician from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a famous reproductive medicine scientist, has been appointed as the Dean of the International School of Medicine.The campus was opened in October 2023 and there are 470 graduate students and over 90 international undergraduate students studying in the campus.

The International Institutes of Medicine, Zhejiang University (IIM), as a research platform for scientific research support and transformation medicine, has been approved as the first batch of new provincial R&D institutions in Zhejiang Province as part of the Zhejiang Engineering Research Center for Future Pathology, which has now debuted. The role of a Foreign English teacher is to help our students speak English and improve English practical skills. Job Description

Zhejiang Sci-Tech University is located in Hangzhou. 4. Workload: 16 periods per week from Monday to Friday (45 minutes per period)

Job Requirements:

1. Nationality: English as mother tongue

Monthly Salary with 16 periods per week: from 10,000 RMB/month. Airfare Reimbursement:

  • No more than RMB ¥4,000 for one-academic-year contract.

Lodging:
Apartments are served mainly on the “first come, first served” basis while priority shall be given to teachers with family members and/or senior teachers. All are about 10-15minutes’ walk away from the campus and are equipped with basic furniture, telephone, 1 air-conditioner/heater, 1 refrigerator, 1 microwave, 1 induction cooker, 1 washing machine, 1 TV, 1 DVD, 1 water heater, 1 purified water unit, ADSL (computers are in the process of application), etc.

*We have a spacious apartment available 70-90 square meters, 2 bedrooms (one can be used as a study), 1 living room, 1 storeroom, 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom, and 1 balcony. Teachers will need to pay CNY 2000/month for the apartment, it is still much cheaper to rent the same apartment if you choose to live off campus.

Food: Cafeteria food on campus
Water and Local Phone Call Bill: Covered by the university.
Electricity Bill: 300 kilowatt-hours per month covered by the university, extra amount covered by foreign teachers themselves.
Insurance: Bills for Comprehensive Protection Scheme (a kind of insurance in China as a supplement to foreign teachers’ own protection scheme) shall be covered by the university. Before the service at ZSTU, foreign teachers are expected to buy insurance regarding life and health protection in their own countries for any insurance liability.

The ZJU-UIUC Institute

is the engineering college on the Zhejiang University (ZJU) International Campus in China, which is established jointly by the partnership of Zhejiang University-University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2016.  The ZJU-UIUC Institute offers undergraduate and graduate degrees (Master and PhD) in civil & environmental engineering, computer engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and mechanical engineering. Classes and student activities are conducted in English.

 

The institute conducts teaching and multidisciplinary research in broad program themes of Engineering Sciences for Devices and Applied Materials, Information and Data Science, Energy, Environment, and Sustainable Development. Applications are welcome from relevant computer, electrical and electronic, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, physics and mathematics science disciplines. Program Introduction

The Science Fund Program for Distinguished Young Scholars of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Overseas) aims to attract and encourage outstanding young scholars from overseas (including foreign scholars) who have made achievements in natural science, engineering and technology to carry out innovative research in their own choice of research direction in China.

 

Eligibility

1. Compliance with the laws and regulations of China; having good research ethics, and being good practitioner of the spirit of science.

2. Born after Jan 1. 1984 (inclusive).

3. A PhD degree in relevant areas.

4. Research in the field of life science, engineering and information etc.

5.Having obtained a formal teaching or research position in an overseas university, research institution, or corporate R&D institution, and worked for more than 36 consecutive months before April 15, 2024. For those who have obtained a doctorate degree overseas and have particularly outstanding performance, the limitation of work experience may be appropriately relaxed.

6.Having obtained achievements of scientific research or technology recognized by peer experts and having the potential to become an academic leader or outstanding talent in related field.

7. Having not yet returned to work in China on a full-time basis, or returned/came to work in China after Jan 1, 2023. The applicant must resign from the overseas work or have no work overseas after being notified of the grant of funding and return (come) to work in China full-time for at least 3 years.

As one of the first batch of universities in China that set up postdoctoral research centers, Zhejiang University has recruited and trained more than 11000 postdoctoral researchers, now owns 59 postdoctoral research centers in 13 disciplines, which is the most in the number of research center and has the most comprehensive disciplines. 一、申报条件

1.近三年内获得博士学位,品学兼优,身心健康,遵纪守法,具有良好的学术道德;

2.年龄不超过35周岁;

3.能全职在招收单位从事博士后研究工作。

I. Requirements:

1.Recent PhD graduates in three years who are intellectually and morally good as well as physically and mentally healthy and with academic ethics;

  2. Applicants shall work full-time during their stay in the employment unit.

二、岗位职责

1.以科学研究工作为主,按计划完成博士后研究任务;

2.根据研究需要申请国家基金、中国博士后科学基金及其他科研项目,与合作导师共同承担重要的科研课题,在国内外高水平刊物上发表成果。

II. Responsibilities:

1.Perform scientific research as the major task and complete postdoctoral research work at the scheduled time;

2.Apply for funding programs of China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and other scientific research projects based on research needs; cooperate with the supervisor to undertake key research projects; publish papers in key publications worldwide.

1.Competitive Salary Package:The university collaborates with relevant governmental departments, preponderant disciplines, supervisors, and university-local authority cooperation platforms to build a postdoctoral funding system and operates a tiered funding for university-employed postdoctoral researchers. The annual salary for outstanding postdoctoral candidates may reach more than 400,000 CNY.
